SmartLegalForms.co is both a “pure-play” disrupter in the document automation field as we utilize Rapidocs strategically for our own account, and through DirectLaw®, a software as service provider (SaaS) to law firms.

SmartLegalForms.co specializes in creating alternative legal solutions, based on our proprietary technology, that enhances the productivity of an attorney.  Our legal document solutions are distributed through SmartLegalForms.co‘s own market-facing retail web sites and through our network of institutional partners. The targets of our competitive focus are solos and small law firms, although we are now moving up the value curve to create more complex documents that are normally the products of medium and large-size law firms.

Career Focus

As a Document Assembly Developer in our Document Automation Group, you will have responsibility for creating and revising automated document templates. Desired qualifications include: experience in programming HOTDOCS® or a similar document application, demonstrated technical writing skills, capacity to translate legal terms into layman’s language, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

SmartLegalForms.co is based in the Baltimore-Washington area and in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; however, we are a de-centralized and web-based organization. In this position, the successful candidate can work in the Washington, D.C. area, South Florida, or from a home office anywhere in the United States. Therefore, you must be a self-starter and have the ability to work autonomously.

Salary will depend on both experience and proven expertise in developing automated legal documents. We offer a competitive benefits package, including life, health, dental, vision, and disability insurance. Extensive training in the Rapidocs Document Assembly System will be provided.

Candidates will also be required to submit a sample of an automated legal document form that they have created.
